I wonder where should I draw this lovely artwork…(Kudos to the maker)

“Do some rubbings with a pencil”? (with the “scratch at the back” at the back, should I do that first? ‘Cause if I draw this here then it might ruin this page, lolwhut first world’s problem yo)
Or
“Scribble wildly, violently, with reckless abandon”? (Which pretty much sums up the shading, but I feel like..IDK)

Is it odd that I kept picturing Dave Franco in almost every book that I’ve been reading lately? Surely that’s odd right? And even the lead doesn’t suit him it’s just him in my mind…why???
